Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she was enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first trial she took the sport, she finished 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004, she enrolled in the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set an all-time junior world record. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three places in all her events.
